Nani Ola Pacal

Nani is a performing artist and fiber artist.

She has nurtured a lifelong love of performance and movement arts. She holds a BA in Dance & Movement Arts. Nani danced in the US and Germany, interning at Tanzakatomy Cifwentes in Berlin. At the age of 27, she took her first contortion class and was hooked. Four years of professional training in the San Fransisco Bay Area led her to develop an act on a custom ground apparatus. Nani has performed up and down the west coast and was a finalist in Circus Star USA.

Nani also developed EcoSilkArt, a medium of delicately layered silk collage. A typical image is made from hundreds of individual silk pieces. Nani and her mom hand color the silk using plant dyes. They source materials that are sustainably grown and harvested, including dyestuff from their own garden like onion peel, indigo and walnut hulls.
